Add Show Your Work to questions
You can add a Show Your Work canvas to any question type! This allows you to see your students' process, while keeping the benefit of having Formative auto-grade responses.
Simply toggle the "Show Your Work" option at the bottom of any question:
Student View
Your students will be able to see the Show Your Work canvas and question side by side:
Teacher View
As the teacher, you'll be able to see both the student's question response and their drawing in your View Responses:
Just as with a Show Your Work question type, you can draw feedback on the your students' drawings, and send that as a feedback message!
You can also change an existing Show Your Work question into any other question type without losing your background. Simply choose a different question type from the dropdown menu. Your new question type will automatically have a Show Your Work box attached.
*Warning: Changing a question type for a question that has student responses will delete student responses permanently!
Please note: If you toggle on the "Required" option for a question with a Show Your Work box added to it, filling the Show Your Work box will not be required of your students. Your student will receive an indication that their response is incomplete but they will be able to submit their assignment nonetheless.
