Add collaborators to your formative! There are two levels of access you can grant to a collaborator:

  • Edit & assign: this allows you live edit the formative with a colleague - perfect for teachers who want to create formatives together! Your collaborator will also be able to assign the formative to their classes.
  • Assign only: your collaborator will be able to assign the formative to their classes, but won't be able to edit it.

Note: if you, or your collaborator, make changes to a formative, this will be reflected immediately on your collaborators' screens. If they have already assigned the formative to a class, then the changes may affect their data (for example, if you delete or add answer key options).

If you're not sure if collaborating is the right option, check out how to share a formative or how to publish it to the public or your team/school's private library.

To add a collaborator from your dashboard:

  1. Click on the bubble to the left of the formative (or folder) you'd like to add a collaborator to
  2. Select "Share" from the menu at the bottom
  3. Choose the "Add Collaborators" tab and type the email address(es) of your colleagues
  4. Choose their level of access (Edit & Assign, or Assign only)
  5. Click "Done"!

To add a collaborator from within a formative:

  1. Click on the triple dots in the top right, and select "Collaborate"
  2. Add the email address(es) of your colleagues
  3. Choose their level of access (Edit & Assign, or Assign only)
  4. Click "Done"!

Change your mind? Return to the same "Add Collaborators" menu, and you can change the level of access, or delete the collaborator entirely by clicking on the "X" next to their name.

*Please note that collaborating is a Premium feature for our Partner teams and schools. Click here to find out more!
